Outer Limits is a new line of Viña Montes wines from various unique terroirs in Chile-Zapallar, Curtiduría, Colchagua, and Itata-to reflect experience and innovative vision. The six varieties range from a fresh Pinot Noir to an extravagant Cinsault and a powerful Syrah.

Itata Valley
The Itata Valley is the appellation of origin for Chilean wines from the Bío Bío Region, 500 kms. south of Santiago. This valley has unique characteristics in the southern region of Chile. Surrounded by the Ñuble and Itata rivers, the landscape of the vines located on picturesque hills dazzles for their natural beauty. This valley is known for the production -among others- of varieties such as Muscat of Alexandria, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, País, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cinsault. With more than 500 years of history, Itata means "abundant grazing" in the Mapuche native language.
